CECIL BEATON & DAVID LACHAPELLE

Cecil Beaton was born in 1904. It is old than David Lachapelle, because David was born in 1963. This great difference of age, one sees in his photographies.

Cecil couldn't use the color, and all his portraits are in black and white, using lights and shades, setting a fragile, sophisticated and sensual world.

For this reason, David, always strikes more than Cecil, when it comes out in photographs with so much sheen and contrast of colors. 

Both photographers are big set designers, they use games of mirrors, gardens, extravagant dresses, columns...

 

The differences that they have in his careers, are for fault or in favour of the technologies of the moment. 

Cecil, only to could realize photographies in her 2n World war, has been employed at the magazines Vanity Fair and Vogue, and a book has published.

Comparing Cecil with David, David has been employed at magazines like Vogue, Rolling Stone, I-d, Vibe, Interview ... between others. In addition, it has come out in photographs for front pages of discs and for campaigns of pop films. Also, it has published several books and has directed musical films.

 

 But, in spite of his differences, Cecil managed to be a big portrayer with his elegance. And David with his qualify of exciting emotions to the public, he has managed to be one of the most recognized photographers of the world for his alive photographies.
